When Twilight first came out in the theaters last year I was genuinely excited. I thought, “cool another vampire love story, but with teens! Awesome! Sounds like a Dawn kind of movie!” (more…)
My wife put it best…Vampires are gay now so they’d never win against a badass Werewolf. Damn I love this woman!!! But she’s freakin right! Let’s take a look at the facts and movies that validate mine and my wife’s point (Werewolves kick ass). (more…)
This here, is why the public doesn’t get to vote in the Oscars.
While the show is just something fun and is all about shits and giggles, one has to think that the original spirit of this show died YEARS ago from beating to the head with a duck shaped book end. Now its all about whoring and trying to stay trendy on a network that use to show Music Videos at one point in the mid 90’s
The show will feature live voting up until the last minute before the sacred GOLDEN POPCORN is handed out. If you’re so inclined to participate in this mob mentality, you can vote not only at MTV.com, but also on Myspace, Flixster, and IMDB.
For those who care. Here are you nominees:
BEST MOVIE (voting stays live throughout the 2009 Movie Awards ceremony)
The Dark Knight
High School Musical 3: Senior Year
Iron Man
Slumdog Millionaire
Twilight
BEST FEMALE PERFORMANCE
Angelina Jolie – Wanted (Universal Pictures)
Anne Hathaway – Bride Wars (20th Century Fox)
Kate Winslet – The Reader (The Weinstein Company)
Kristen Stewart – Twilight (Summit Entertainment)
Taraji P. Henson – The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (Paramount Pictures)
BEST MALE PERFORMANCE
Christian Bale – The Dark Knight (Warner Bros. Pictures)
To be honest, I’m SHOCKED, shocked I say, that all of the “BEST MOVIE” awards are all from 2008! Normally its whats ever was or is popular between the last Movie Awards and this one. (As is the case with Vin Diesel’s nom for FAST & FURIOUS, a movie that opened little under a month ago)
The show will be hosted by LONELY ISLAND member Andy Samberg and airs Sunday, May 31st on MTV
