(edit, Sorry for the wait, just been a busy week around here is all)
Sunday. This is God’s day of rest. But for the wicked that attend Comic Con, there was no rest.
Comic Con’s infamous Ballroom 20 hits maximum capacity with 5,820 people. It is no wonder that Joss Whedon, after his success with “Buffy,” “Angel,” “Firefly,” and “Dr. Horrible,” always brings in a full house. I waited in line for two and half hours to get into Ballroom 20, and sat through two hours of panels before the “Dollhouse” screening and Whedon Q&A. As with most panels, it started a few minutes late. I noticed that, before Whedon appeared on stage, the security in the room doubled. When Whedon then made his appearance (more…)
This weekend at Comic-Con, three of us here at The RealmCast had the rare and distinct pleasure of hanging out with the boys from The Boondock Saints, a cult classic film from 1999, and a big favorite here at the Realm. How did we do it? Was it the luck of the Irish? Possibly. Let me tell you how it all went down. (more…)

As Thursday rolled on, I decided to clear my head of the headache that I was enduring. I met a friend for lunch at the tin fish and gorged on some fish tacos. Check out the Anime Expo 2009 Gallery. We’ve uploaded all of DAY ONE so far and will have more in the next day. We also have audio interviews with Imagi, Atlus and NetComics that we will be posting . (more…)
Well folks we’re excited to be covering Anime Expo for our first time ever. I’d like to think we’ve covered every aspect of our geeky lifestyle. To date we’ve covered Comic-Con for nearly a decade now, Wizard World (Chicago & tour), DragonCon, G.I. Joe Convention, Stargate Con, Star Trek Cons, etc. It would seem though that due to the surge in popularity that anime has endured over the past several years we have been missing one of the biggest aspects of our lifestyle. So tomorrow myself and the members of the Realm toys will hit the L.A. Convention Center in full force to bring you all the fun stuff from AX2009. Stay tuned and expect daily recaps, audio interviews, a huge gallery giving you the experience of actually being there.
